The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their position as key figures in the powerful family could enable the party reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander turned against the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to form the Explorers and Planners groups.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on next week.
